The rule, in our words

• App Review Guidelines: Use location only where it is directly relevant to the app's features, notify the user and obtain consent before collecting, transmitting or using location data, explain the purpose in the app; location APIs should not be used to provide emergency services or autonomous control of vehicles, aircraft or other devices (small devices like toys, lightweight drones and car-alarm remotes excepted).
• App Review Guidelines: An app that behaves in a way that risks physical harm may be rejected. Medical apps face extra scrutiny: accuracy claims about health measurements must be backed by disclosed data and methodology or the app is rejected; apps claiming to take x-rays or measure blood pressure, body temperature, glucose or blood oxygen using only device sensors are not permitted; users should be reminded to consult a doctor; drug-dosage calculators must come from manufacturers, hospitals, universities, insurers, pharmacies or FDA-type approval; no encouraging tobacco, vaping, illegal drugs or excessive alcohol, and no facilitating sale of controlled substances (with licensed exceptions); DUI checkpoints only from law enforcement, and apps should never encourage drunk or reckless driving; apps should not urge users into bets, challenges or device use that risks physical harm.
