The rule, in our words

• App Review Guidelines: Only content the developer created or licensed: no third-party trademarks, works or patented ideas without permission; no misleading or copycat names or metadata; the app should be submitted by the rights holder; third-party services may be used only where their terms allow; apps should not download media from services such as YouTube without authorisation; no suggestion that Apple supplies or endorses the app; nothing confusingly similar to an Apple product; no Apple emoji; iTunes previews only with a link back; Activity rings should not mimic the Activity control and Weather data should follow WeatherKit attribution.
• Intellectual Property: Nothing in the app or its listing may infringe copyright, trademark, patent or trade secret, or encourage infringement such as downloading streamed media; counterfeit goods are banned; permission to use someone else's brand should be shown to Google before submission.
