The question From the app's strings and screens: is any feature, content or use gated on rating the app, writing a review, or installing another app? Asking for a rating without gating anything is fine.

A person or a model answers it from the app's texts and screens; the answer is kept only while the facts it saw are unchanged.

The rule, in our words

• App Review Guidelines: Unacceptable: an app-store-like catalogue of third-party apps; inflating ad impressions or being mostly ads; collecting charity funds in-app unless an approved nonprofit; arbitrarily restricting users by location or carrier; manipulating rank on other services; binary options; unlicensed CFD or forex trading; loans above 36% APR, without full terms shown, or due in 60 days or less; and forcing people to rate, review or install other apps to use the app.
• User Ratings, Reviews, and Installs: No manipulating ratings, reviews or installs: no incentives for a rating, no forced or deceptive rating pop-ups, no fake or repeated reviews, no reviews carrying coupons or links, no rewarding installs of other apps as the app's main function; ask for a rating clearly and honestly.
