A subscription says what the price buys, lasts at least a week, and works on all the user's devices

The question The app offers a subscription. Before asking to subscribe, does it say plainly what the user gets for the price and how often? Is the period at least seven days? Does it keep giving value, work on every device the app runs on, and never take away what earlier buyers already paid for?

A person or a model answers it from the app's texts and screens; the answer is kept only while the facts it saw are unchanged.

The rule, in our words

• App Review Guidelines: Subscription rules (3.1.2): an auto-renewable subscription must give ongoing value, last at least seven days, and work on all the user's devices where the app is available; subscribers should get what they paid for without extra tasks; switching to a subscription model should not remove what existing users already paid for; free trials are configured in App Store Connect; upgrades and downgrades should be seamless and users should not be able to accidentally subscribe twice to the same thing; before asking someone to subscribe, say clearly what the price buys and communicate the Schedule 2 requirements. Apps that scam users or use bait-and-switch are removed from the App Store, and the developer may be removed from the Developer Program.
• App Review Guidelines: Auto-renewable subscriptions are allowed in any category if they follow the subscription rules recorded under section 3.1.

• Apple sets a 7-day minimum term and multi-device access; Google has no minimum term but demands in-app access to an easy online cancellation method, bans presenting annual prices mainly as monthly figures, bans "Free Trial" SKU names that hide recurring charges, requires a visible way to continue without subscribing, and requires fully localised pricing and terms.
